Pastor Anthony Taplin, Sr.
Pastor Anthony Wayne Taplin, Sr. is the Founder and Pastor of Come Into The Light Ministries, an innovative and progressive ministry, located in Algiers, Louisiana. He has served in this position, with his wife, Vonda Taplin, since the inception of the church in 1995. He is a pastor who has a heart to teach God's people in simplicity and power. His God ordained assignment is to minister to the whole man: spirit, soul and body.
As a young boy Pastor Taplin grew up in the B.W. Cooper Housing Projects, in the city of New Orleans, where he lived with his mother, one brother and a sister. In spite of the many stumbling blocks the enemy strategically placed in his path, Pastor Taplin was determined not to give way to the negative influences of his environment. At a very young age he accepted Jesus as Lord & Savior, and was baptized at New Home Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Pastor Freddie H. Dunn.
During his college career, Pastor Taplin heard the call of God, during a seemingly tough time in his life, to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He restored his commitment to God and was ordained as an Associate Minister of Free Mission Missionary Baptist Church, under the tutelage of Rev Johnny Jones Jr. He also served as interim Pastor of Congregational Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev Lundy. Pastor Taplin has earned a Bachelor of Divinity & Bachelor of Theology; and is currently pursuing a Master Degree in Theology at Christian Life School of Theology.
Pastor Taplin knew the power of the Holy Spirit was not in operation in the traditional teachings of church; he believed in the power of the Holy Spirit, and he prayerfully begin to seek leadership, guidance and a spiritual covering. In 2004 Pastor Taplin and his wife, placed themselves under the spiritual leadership of Prophet & 1st Lady Robert C. Blakes Sr.
Pastor Taplin and his wife have been married for 30 years; they have two wonderful sons, Anthony Wayne Jr. & Ashton Troy.
Pastor Taplin has experienced many challenges and victories in ministry; however, he believes as it is written in Habakkuk 2:3 “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry”.

Pastor Taplin and his wife currently are in covenant connection with the Family of Churches Fellowship International, Bishop Robert C. Blakes, Jr. serves as the presiding Bishop.
During his collegiate years Pastor Taplin audibly heard the call of God during a seemingly tough time in his life, to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He restored his commitment to God and was licensed and ordained as a Minister to preach the Gospel. He has earned a Bachelor of Divinity & Bachelor of Theology.
He and his wife have been married for 31 years; they have two wonderful sons, Anthony Wayne Jr. & Ashton Troy.

Co-Pastor Vonda Taplin
Co-Pastor Vonda Taplin is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. She enjoys being the wife of 23 years to Pastor Anthony W. Taplin Sr, and the mother of their two sons Anthony Jr. and Ashton. Vonda has the same passion and purpose of her husband, and loves assisting him with his God given vision for Come Into The Light Ministries.
She is an anointed and chosen woman of God. Her faith in Jesus Christ was ignited at an early age. She has always felt the compassion of Jesus Christ in spite of her many challenges; she knew deep in her heart that God loved her.
In May 1995 God instantly set Vonda free from the bondage of fear, low self-esteem, negative thoughts and the lie the enemy had told her as it related to her value as a girl. Her concern and compassion for hurting women & girls and the challenges that pursue them is the dynamics of her mission called H.A.G.A.R Mentoring Ministry (Helping Adolescent Girls Receive Restoration). Her greatest desire is to open a home for teenage girls who have fallen prey to Satan lies; Vonda knows what it is to live with, YET OVERCOME; the deception of the enemy.
She is also the founder of W.I.C. Ministry (Women In Christ). Quarterly meetings are held to enlighten, encourage and equip women with spiritual and practical knowledge to live an exciting Christian lifestyle. She believes as the scripture say’s “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. II Corinthians 5:17
